MedFund Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MedFund platform, including the website, mobile applications, payment services, and all related tools (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using MedFund, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. About MedFund
MedFund is a medical fundraising platform that enables individuals, families, and organizations to raise funds solely for verified medical, health, and treatment-related needs.
MedFund is not a healthcare provider, insurer, or financial institution. We do not provide medical advice or guarantee medical outcomes.
2. Eligibility to Use MedFund
- Are at least 18 years old
- Or acting with consent of a legal guardian
- Have legal capacity to enter binding agreements
- Raise funds for legitimate medical purposes only
MedFund reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
3. Medical Fundraising Campaigns
3.1 Permitted Campaigns
- Medical treatment, surgery, hospitalization, medication
- Diagnostic tests and scans
- Chronic illness management
- Disability-related care or equipment
- Emergency medical care
- Medical travel directly related to treatment
- Post-treatment recovery and rehabilitation
- Medical equipment and clinical medical research
3.2 Prohibited Campaigns
- Non-medical or lifestyle expenses
- Fraudulent or exaggerated claims
- Cosmetic or elective procedures
- Illegal or unlicensed treatments
- Hate, discrimination, or violent causes
4. Campaign Verification & Accountability
MedFund may require medical documentation, verify hospitals and doctors, and delay or refund funds if verification fails. Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination.
5. Donations & Payments
- Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable
- Medical outcomes are not guaranteed
- MedFund deducts a 3% processing fee on payouts
6. Use & Disbursement of Funds
Funds must be used strictly for stated medical purposes. Misuse constitutes a breach and may result in legal action.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
MedFund handles personal and medical data confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedFund shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses. Liability is limited to fees earned from the relevant transaction.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved through Ugandan courts or agreed arbitration.
